The car may not have been in park when it struck the woman and rolled over a grass embankment and into the nearby lake around 10:30 a.m., Harding Police Chief Erik Heller said.
The car was fully recovered around 4 p.m. with help from Parsippany and Boonton divers, along with Morris County HazMat, Heller said.
The woman was taken to Morristown Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries to the left side of her body, police said.
